Lawn Care
Weed and feed is the basis of our lawn treatment programme and is usually all you would need. By partnering with us you will get a series of five applications that we guarantee will make your lawn the envy of your neighbours.
| Spring Late February- April | We make our first visit as soon as the weather warms up. We will apply a balanced fertiliser to give your grass a boost as it comes out of dormancy together with a selective herbicide to tackle broad leaved weeds such as dandelion, daisy and clover |
| Early Summer May-June | As Summer progresses we make another visit and apply more fertiliser to keep your grass thick and strong. We apply a different herbicide to tackle the more difficult weeds that at this time of year are more vulnerable after the first weed treatment. |
| Late Summer July-August | In late Summer we apply another balanced fertiliser to keep your grass green and prepare for Autumn. Targeted spot spraying for weeds will be applied. |
| Autumn September-October | Time to change the fertiliser again to get your grass through the final weeks of Autumn and prepare for Winter. Targeted weed treatment if required. |
| Early Winter November-December | On our final visit we will apply one of the most important fertiliser applications which will promote root growth and contains liquid iron to tackle any moss in the lawn. It is important that moss is not allowed to develop in your lawn as this will inhibit the growth of grass. |
You can start your treatment programme at any time of year. The fertiliser seasonal treatments would remain the same although the herbicide applications will vary according to the severity of the weeds in your lawn.
Pest and Fungus Control
Chafer grubs are immature beetles living under the soil. They feed on the roots of grass causing brown patches on lawns. That’s not all, grubs are the favourite snack of birds who will happily dig up your lawn to get at these delicious pests. As we apply fertiliser treatments to your lawn we will keep a watchful eye for these pest and advise if we spot a problem. Cranefly larvae can also cause similar damage. Similarly, if we spot a fungus problem, the most common being fairy rings, fusarium/snow mould, red thread/pink patch and dry patch we will again advise.
Lime Application
If your soil becomes too acidic the lawn will not thrive. Moss and acid loving weeds will start to crowd out your grass leaving your lawn weak and vulnerable to pests and diseases. Lime applications can be scheduled throughout the year.

Organic Options
We are always striving to find the best products for your lawn and the environment. Our organic options come in liquid or granular form and cost the same as our regular treatments. They are ideal for those with waterways, pond life and vegetable plots.
