Weed Control
Weeds are invasive plants that complete with grass for space to grow —— not what you want on your lawn. Lawn weeds prosper because they survive close, regular mowing. They spread by seed or creeping stems and are usually a problem where grass is sparse. Every weed has a life cycle that starts at various times of year making them a constant nuisance.
Our Weed Control Schedule
| Late February-April | We will apply a selective herbicide to tackle broad leaved weeds. |
| May-June | We will apply a different herbicide for weeds that have survived the first treatment. |
| July-August | A targeted treatment for any weeds still present. |
| September-October | A targeted treatment for any weeds still present. |
| November-December | Again, we would usually apply a targeted treatment. |
Most lawn weeds are killed by a herbicide application, some by a single treatment, but others require two or three applications.
